Perdido Key Resort Management - Inclement Weather Update 10.11.18
Final Perdido Key Inclement Weather Update 10.11.18
As Hurricane Michael moves away from the Panhandle and dissipates, we have already started to begin inspecting your properties. The office is experiencing a higher call and email volume than normal for this time of year, but that is to be expected as our valued guests call to see how we fared through the storm. Luckily, it’s all good news from here in Perdido Key. Thank you for your continued understanding and patience as we do all we can to make it back to each property in our care.
We weren’t a direct hit by Michael, so our initial assessments indicate that your properties did not sustain any destruction. There are no curfews in our area, the evacuation order was lifted yesterday afternoon all bridges are functioning normally. Roads are passable without any debris and traffic isn’t bad either. Currently, all our properties in Perdido Key have power and internet access is as good as it was before the storm.
We are certainly thankful as many were spared from the full extent of Hurricane Michael’s devastation. I am proud of the professionalism and commitment demonstrated by our team. Without their efforts, as we prepared for the storm, some of our properties may have lost deck furniture or seen some level of damage.
Moving forward, our team members have already started visiting the properties; both those occupied and vacant. As we return to each property, we are assessing damage and will create action plans where necessary. I am optimistic that all properties look as good inside as our area does outside.
We anticipate a high volume of hurricane-related calls to continue throughout the weekend. As a result, we are asking that routine, non-hurricane be postponed if possible to allow us to focus on hurricane-related calls coming in from vacationers. As always, thank you for your partnership, and for allowing us to serve you – in good times and bad. It is truly our pleasure!
