The condo had everything we needed. We enjoyed using the indoor pool and hot tub. We got to watch the Blue Angels practice! The beach was great and just moments away. The Purple Parrot Resort was very quiet and relaxing.

Our stay has been fabulous. Our condo was clean well equipped quiet, and inviting. From our every day walks exploring different beaches to finding great places to grab a bite to eat or just for a relaxing cocktail and people watching. I can't say enough about how friendly and welcoming the staff are and how nice and friendly people are in the area. The weather has been cool but the warmth of the community has well made up for it. We had the best time at the Purple Parrot! The pool was so fun! There was live music everyday. The condo was nestled away so you felt like you were in a rainforest by the beach. The neighbors (residents) were very nice and welcoming. We will definitely be back!

Perfect day on the beach Sunday. High 83, cloudy, gusty winds with fun surf! Beach and water much better than we found at orange beach Friday and Saturday where the surf was bringing in a lot of dead fish and jelly fish.

We loved the condo and pool, but were very upset with the parking. Were not even able to park on same street. My guest was pregnant with twins, so it was very hard to walk so far to condo each time we went out. Will not stay again, just because of parking.

Lovely stay in Florida

Away From It all at the Purple Parrot Resort was a perfect end-of-summer vacation location. I reserved the condo via telephone and the process was extremely easy. The representatives I spoke with were friendly and expedient. Upon arrival, we were able to check-in early and the process was very easy. My husband and I were both very pleased with the resort itself. The indoor and outdoor pools were both well-maintained and my husband was impressed with the amenities in the fitness room. The condo itself was well-decorated and maintained. The kitchen included everything we needed to prepare meals (and Publix, Florida's major market chain was seconds away in case we needed anything). We were grateful for the coffee maker, the iPod docking station, and the two porch chairs. The bathroom was clean with lots of towels. The one suggestion I would make is to run some drain-o through the bathtub as I had to use the plunger to force down some standing water. The bed was comfortable, more so than the couch, which we believe was a pullout bed. The unit also came with wireless internet access, which was extremely helpful in planning our days and the key reason for choosing this particular unit. Purple Parrot is a very short drive to public beach access. We'd suggest driving to the state-run beach access along Johnson Beach Road -- it's worth the $8 parking pass, which is good for seven days. The beach here was very clean with ample parking and bathroom and pavilion access. Our stay in Perdido Key was fantastic and we certainly recommend Purple Parrot.

I'm an owner of another unit here at Purple Parrot. My unit was booked so we decided to stay at another. It was a wonderfull unit. Very cozy, comfortable, and had everything that we needed. The mattress was incredible! Like sleeping on a cloud. The pull out sofa, was also nice for the kiddos. Highly recomend for a family of 4 or even a couples, getaway.

Very quiet and relaxing!

My wife and I stayed in the away From It all condo a couple of weeks ago and honestly, we could barely get out of bed after that first night because the bed is so comfortable!!! The condo is very nice and even though this one is situated in the middle of three other condos, there was virtually no noise at all, which allowed us to completely relax and enjoy all the wonderful bird calls in the mornings. We visited both the indoor and outdoor pools and hot tubs and they were great. The only issue at all was that the outdoor pool isn't heated and it's early March, but why in the world would you heat an outdoor pool in Florida? We braved the cold water because we couldn't resist the opportunity to swim in that gorgeous grotto-style pool, and again had a blast! Thank you so much for your hospitality, Purple Parrot! We will be back!!

We enjoyed the accomodations at The Purple Parrott Resort. We had to cut our stay short 2 days because of the tropical depression that was in the Gulf of Mexico and the weather warnings and watches it caused. We enjoyed the condo and it had everything for a family staying there. The condo was decorated nicley and had all the appliances. The dvd players built into the tv's was nice and enjoyed by the children. Due to the weather we were not able to try the outside pool. We did enjoy the indoor pool the 2 times we we used it. We have told our friends of this resort and we will come down and stay here again, weather permitting.

This is my second time to stay at the Purple Parrot (I've also referred my parents). We always have a wonderful time and have been pleased with our cottage choices. The only complaints I have would be the lack of parking out front of the cottages and the fact that you cannot bring outside beverages to the pool. Its hard enough scraping money together for a vacation and then haveing to pay extra for each drink you have at the pool, therefore, we didn't spend any time at the pool. I can totally understand not bringing in glass bottles, but we would have liked to bring in can beverages...Just something to think about. Overall, we had a great trip!

More than I expected!

Having an entire buidling to yourself is so much better than a single room in comparison to the normal hotel chains. The full size kitchen and living rooms were wonderful. Being able to close the bedroom doors that separated the various rooms was also a huge plus. The staff was extremely polite and the location was only 5 minutes from the Beach! We are already planning our next visit and plan on taking our boys this time. The Pool was fantastic and the Bands that played were also very good. I have already told a few other couples about the rooms and the price, so we are trying to plan a couples retreat as well. One trip to the Purple Parrot and you will not want to stay at another "normal" hotel again :-)

Honeymoon Bliss

The management staff was super nice and helpful. Couldn't ask for a nicer condo. It was clean & comfortable. The beach was just a mile down the road and shopping/restaurants were close by too. It was a great weekend getaway. The only thing we didn't like was the roads and parking in the resort were gravel. When we arrived it was raining so it was muddy. When the mud dried, it was dusty. It would be great if the roads & parking spaces were paved.

Our stay was a welcome get away. From the begining when we called to inquire about the rates the booking process was easy. We had plenty of room with all of the comforts of home. We were provided easy access to the resort. Everyone was extemely friendly and more than willing to help with any issue we may have had. The one issue that wasn't resolved for us was the TV set in the living room quit working and it wasn't fixed while we were there. One other item that we would liked to have had was a bar-b-que grill. There are plenty of restaurants, grocery stores and beaches within minutes from this resort. We will definately consider staying here again and would highly recommend this resort to anyone we know that would be interested.

Loved the Purple Parrot

We took a last minute vacation to Perdido Key and could barely find a room! I was able to get a condo at the Purple Parrot due to a cancellation. Considering they were sold out, it was pleasantly quiet! On a Friday night, we were the only people swimming in the pool. It was absolutely great! I loved the fact that the beach was down the street, because the kids could not go back and forth from the beach to the pool (I'm too old for all that walking). Once we were finished at the beach, we packed up and left to enjoy the rest of the day sand free at the beautiful pool! It was very much like home, due to the individual condos. We will definately be back!

Best Beach Vacation Stay!!

The Purple Parrot Resort was absolutely amazing! It was quiet and peaceful, friendly and welcoming. The oasis pool area is exceptional. We loved being less than 2 minutes from the beach, but also having the option of staying at the oasis for swimming, too. Johnson Beach is just around the corner and it was clean, uncrowded, has lots of shelters and bathrooms available, and there's a lifeguard on duty. The resort was clean and well-managed. Our condo, "Away From It All", was absolutely beautiful!!!! We didn't want to leave!! We will definitely be back to the Purple Parrot and "Away From It All". We're already trying to plan for our next trip!
