The unit is absolutely adorable very clean and well stocked with everything you need to cook. This is an upstairs unit which i did know when booking but the stairs are crazy high and steep we had a 3 yr old and it was a lot of work going up and down carrying her. Also the stairs need to be fixed up they move quite a bit when walking on them. Actually it seems like the entire porch should be redone before someone gets hurt. The glass entry door has a crack in it but it was the inside paine so it doesn't seem to be a safety risk but not aesthetically pleasing. The property as a whole was beautiful and we had a great time. We loved the sandy area where kids could play at the pool.

I really enjoyed staying in Seascape. The unit was super cute, very spacious, quiet, and well equipped. it was chilly the weekend I stayed, so I did not go to the tiki bar but I heard music there at night. Would recommend staying there.

Perdido Key is not tacky like Gulf Shores. Its less crowded and the beach is unbeatable. I highly recommend it. Absolutely fabulous !

Relaxing vacation spot.

I wasn't sure if I would like not staying right on the beach but I didn't miss it at all! The pool and restaurant/bar are the perfect way to end the day. We drove a very short distance to the beach and spent the afternoon at the pool, enjoying the live music. This unit was nicely furnished and the pull out sofa bed was actually comfortable for my 6'8 son! The price... You just can't beat it! We will definitely be coming back!

We enjoyed our stay, we would surely go back again. The only thing is that one step was bad going up to the Condo and the bathtub was slippery, there was nothing to hold on to in order to get in the tub. Everything else was great, would recommend Purple Parrot to our friends.

Our Recent Stay at Purple Parrott

Our recent stay at the Purple Parrot (7/14-7/20) was our second stay. We rented a two bedroom unit for last year's fall break and was very pleased. This year, we stayed in 18CU and it was not the best experience. The unit was a one bedroom upstairs unit. There were only three of us in the unit, but it was a pain taking all of our beach/vacation gear up the stairs, which need to be pressure washed, along with the balcony. After getting sunburned, we were very cold in the middle of the night and found there were no blankets in the unit. None.

Wonderful Cottage -- Unless it rains 17 inches!!!

We loved 18C and Purple Parade. The location near the pristine beaches and glassy green water of Johnson Beach were perfect. And what a deal ... $8 pass for a week. We went to the beach with lifeguards and those without. We loved it. We had a couple of small glitchesn with the condo, mainly trying to use the ice maker... but the decore and extras provided were great. The giant was great, but suggest you leave instructions on how to use the shower. the most features were above great! Leda at the management got us into the place with only a few hours notice. Only negative was when we faced the record breaking rain on the morning we were leaving. They knew next to nothing about the evacation or driving dangers. Waiting 4 hours for the rain to slow so we could load our car... water was over the second step and pouring our of the sky like an open faucet

Cozy and Comfortable

I recently stayed at Purple Parrot with a group of girls for my sister's bachelorette party. We rented the one bedroom, one bath with a fold out couch bed. I was very impressed upon walking in but noticed it was hot (the staff keeps the air off when it isn't occupied). Later we realized the place still wasn't cooling and didn't know who to call. We did notice that other units had a heating/cooling repair van outside. Luckily the weather was nice enough, and we were in an upstairs unit, so we just opened the windows and let the beach breeze blow in. The couch bed was extremely uncomfortable. We also didn't notice that in renting the condo we would be charged with an extra $224. The $300 they charge upon booking is for rental only. It ended up being about $524 for a four night stay, which still isn't bad. Overall, our stay was nice and I would definately stay again.

We are a family of four and it was the perfect size for us. Much nicer than a hotel. The spot in the back was so quiet and relaxing. Both pools were nice, the staff super helpful. We will definitely be coming back.

Service: we arrived on Sunday having received instrux that the key would be under the doormat; it wasn't! Phoned cell on letter, and gentleman arrived within 20 minutes. Amazingly, no word of apology. The first words out of his mouth should have been, I'm sorry for the inconvenience, Mr. and Mrs. Ryan. Condo: Nice but a bit run down: carpet, fridge rusty, icemaker busted, sofa. The living room is configured badly for watching TV. You need to move the furniture so as not to look sideways. Amenities: didn't use Location: wonderful!

The Purple Parrot is in an excellent location and the cottages are a perfect set up. It's great for doing stuff, including R&R.; However, my condo, 18CU, looked a bit worned, the frig was rusted, and light bulbs were out in the BR and bath.

It was a really nice place to stay. We enjoyed our condo and relaxing by the pool. Also, the bands were good. the only complaint I would have is that parking got kind of tight two different nights that we were there. Otherwise, a great vacation!

Very quiet and close to the beach

More BBQ pits would be nice and insect control around it. I had to spray down good before I started to cook. Otherwise, it was very nice, especially the staff.

The young lady that checked us in was awesome..the pool and bar/restaratunt we are also fantastic..but the room smelled so bad of old cigarettes we could barely sleep. It really needs a deep clean to get that smell out.

Convenience and Comfort just down from the beach

My wife and I honeymooned at the Purple Parrot. We were on a very tight budget and had to make a decision that was affordable and you simply could not beat the price we got for 5 nights. It was a comfortable unit (a little small but adequate for 2) with a full kitchen with a convenient Walmart and Winn-Dixie that really made it worth our while. We ate in more than we ate out! Saving money by not having to buy breakfast and then being able to pack lunch to the beach (especially one as nice as Florida's Gulf Islands National Seashore) was exactly what we needed.

Lovely quiet area in nice surroundings

We found Purple Parrot complex very charming, quiet and relaxing. We loved the indoor heated pool and workout room. Our condo was clean, nicely furnished and secure. The premises were kept very clean including the pool area. We feel the management staff was very accommodating and more than willing to help. They did an excellent job.

We were impressed with the Villa we stayed in.It had everything we needed. It had a homey atmosphere to it and was just minutes from the beach. My daughter loved to pool.My husband liked the Tiki Hut!.In fact my daughter felt that she enjoyed staying there,rather than a hotel room on the beach.

My girlfriend came to visit me at NAS Pensacola (Naval Base). So I put her up here and needless to say, I was astounded by the quality of service provided. The condo was fantastic, a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, and living room just minutes away from the bay/beach. I had looked everywhere to find her a safe, clean place, and not only did the purple parrot deliver that, it did so at a resonable and fair price. I cannot describe how happy I am with my decision, so I beseech thee my fellow travelers, to come to a place that will set your mind at ease, I most definately will be back.
