Just Us for the weekend

Came to Perdido Key on Helene weekend, surprised at how awesome the weather was, we just relaxed, enjoyed Johnson beach & Pensacola beach near Fort Pickens. We ate breakfast at Hub Stacey’s at the Point, Supper at Big Mikes, Lillian’s pizza for the Bama vs. Georgia game. breakfast at Foley Coffee Shop.. We enjoyed the beach and meeting people, hearing their stories of how they ended up calling this area home.. And then after these days, we didn’t want to go back home 320 miles away.. Love Purple Parrot and Perdido Key, be back soon..

We traveled from Memphis, TN and were not disappointed one bit. This home is a such a cute and comfortable place to stay. The pool and bar area is very nice and clean will definitely be returning with our whole family. Such a nice place to celebrate our marriage anniversary.

Great Perdido Stay

This updated condo had just what we needed. It was super clean and nicely appointed. The property has a great pool area although it is super close to public beach and the national seashore which is where we spent the majority of our day time. Restaurants close by. Shopping is convenient also. 10/10 would recommend. The property is gated and was super quiet.

Seeking Warmth

Our stay in Purple Parrot's Rancho Deluxe 27CU, in late February 2014, was a welcome escape from Minnesota's cold, snowy winter. The clean condo had a well-equipped kitchen, lovely deck for morning coffee, games, movies, and comfortable furnishings. We were a short drive or walk to the beach and gulf. We enjoyed exploring Perdido Key, gulf areas into Alabama, and Pensacola. Office staff were very helpful and friendly from reservations to extending our stay. We will return next February (for a month!) to a larger unit so that friends may visit us. Thank you for a lovely respite. M and L from MN

From Minnesota to Florida

We had a wonderful time during our stay in Rancho Deluxe 27CU. Thanks for shaing your home with us. Very nicely decorated and clean. Equipted with all the necessities. The girls had a great time at the pool. The nearby beach provided ample walking and shell collecting. The managment staff was great to work with. The only problem we encountered is connecting to the internet. It did not happen. I am sure we will be back! Thanks again!!

We had a blast.

We stayed from May 26 through June 1. Did not have a single problem. Pools were clean. The pullout bed was comfortable - had one of those memory foams (in the closet). Couple of the springs had fallen off the front of the pullout... but I reattached them (you're welcome). All in all, it was more relaxing and worry free than when we went on a cruise year before last. We will be back.

Week in Paradise

We had a wonderful time at the Purple Parrot Resort. The grounds were in great shape, location easy to find and convenient to reasonably priced grocery stores, eateries and public beaches. The public beachers were clean and well kept. Our condo was comfortable, attractive, and had all the amenities of home. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming but did not cross the boundries of privacy. The staff were great about watching for people who were entering the pool dishonestly and made people leave after checking for the wrist bands - this was appreicated. We can't wait to come back!

What can I say but "awesome"? Rancho Deluxe was a beautiful condo, quiet, great location within the complex, very homey. The indoor pool, workout facilities, hot tub and sauna were outstanding and just what the doctor ordered for a relaxing getaway. Will definitely recommend to friends and will absolutely stay again!

We had a wonderful stay at the Rancho Deluxe. We enjoyed perfect weather, rode our bikes at the nearby Gulf Islands National Seashore, and relaxed on the deck with warm drinks as the sun slowly left the sky. This is a very well-managed property. The ladies at the office (especially Meagan) are quick to respond to any need. The condo is nicely appointed and had many extras that we deeply appreciated. We would definitely stay again!

Awesome Condo!

This condo was extremely nice. It was nicely decorated, clean, had all of the extras that you would need during a longer stay for the kitchen and it even had a nice iron and iron board. We felt very comfortable and made us feel like we were at home. The pool area and Tiki Bar was nice. The Tiki Bar had a band playing I know 3 of the 5 nights we stayed. Two were pretty good and the other one I would say was definitely aimed more for people in their 60's and 70's. The only negative thing I have to say is about the rules around the pool area. You're not allowed to bring in any drinks (water, juice, pop) (even though their website said differently and we pointed that out to them and they just smiled and said yeah I know) or any snacks of any kind. You have to buy everything from the Tiki Bar. Between them watching you like a hawk to make sure you didn't have any illegal food or drinks and making sure you had your pool bracelet on as one lady said she felt like she was on house arrest. The public beach is just a 2min. Drive down the Rd. And there are several places to shop close by for groceries. There's a cute little coffee shop close by that had a surprisingly large selection of sf syrups for my soy latte. We went to the Bama Rama one night to eat and I have to say that it was probably the most fun we had the whole time we were down there. The food and drinks are great and they have live music there I think every night. Great experience and very entertaining! The overall place is very nice, the condos are cute and the one we stayed in was very nice, but because of all the rules and feeling like your being watched constantly, we won't be back.

Long weekend at the beach

Our family spent a long Easter weekend at Perdido Key and had a wonderful weekend! Our condo was in a nice location near the beach. We were very impressed with the cleanliness and comfort of our "home away from home". Clancy was very helpful when we arrived in Perdido Key! The beach was a very short drive from our condo and we truly enjoyed the area. The tiki bar was not for our family during the evening hours but that was fairly easy to avoid. Overall, we had a great vacation and enjoyed our long weekend!

This condo exceeded my expectations. Not only is it decorated beautifully,but it is stocked with everything anyone could possibly need for an extended stay. The owners thought of every last detail. My husband and I have no complaints whatsoever ... only compliments. Would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful surprise

We came in with our son's baseball team from TX. Generally when we come to Florida we like to stay in a place directly on the beach, so we were a little leery about the location. It turned out to be a very nice facility, very clean, and comfortable. It was only a couple minute drive to the beach, which turned out to be no problem. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and probably the biggest surprise was how nice the area was and how conveniently located to shopping center and then just up the road from the Gulf Shores. I would definitely recommend The Purple Parrot to everyone and will consider coming back in the future.

It was humid

The Rancho was very clean. We did not have any complaints. The only thing i would suggest is to put rain gutters on thats all. We feel bad for the people down there for that dang oil spill from BP. The pool was fun and the tiki bar was to i hope they reopen it cause the reason we stayed at this resort was the tiki bar. The people are very nice and welcome you with open arms. We hope to come back down some year again but this time we will fly to long a drive from South Dakota to there. Thanks again and i hope this oil doesnt screw with the tourists.

40th birthday

This is the second time visiting Perdido Key Resort within weeks. I was able to usher in my 40th birthday during this stay. No problems,for me, other than the unexpected heat in October. The unit was very nice and comfortable. Managment even allowed me to check in early. They called me and made arrangements for code and key access without hesitation and even left a personal phone # if there were any problems. I will be back again as soon as possible. I have found a new place in Perdido Key Resort to enjoy my time away from home. See you again soon...

Weekend fun

We came down for Labor day weekend and had a great time. We arrived very late in the evening and forgot our unit number and had to call and had no problems at all. Very thrilled that someone was able to assist us at 3 in the morning. The accomidations were much more than we expected. The unit was extremely clean, neat, and organized. Just the right size for a couple with two children. We were within about a 2 min driving distance to the beach and we loved the location because of its close proximity to state park also. Wonderful pool, very large! Not a big fan of the poolside bar but it wasn't a big deal.
