This unit needs updating and refreshed furniture. Bed was very comfortable and location was perfect to the pool. We didn’t have hot water in the shower the first 3 days. Maintenance did come on the 3rd day to repair. Shower fixtures have mold and need replacing or a deep clean. View our back door is unsightly - looking over pool tanks. Grill had not been cleaned. A nasty bag of charcoal was on the porch. We wish we had chosen a different unit for our stay. It ended up not being large enough for us.

Nice Location

First time to Perdido Key and the Purple Parrot Resort. Our 4th year to the Gulf and one of our favorite stays. We enjoyed a day trip into Pensacola and the weather was perfect. Don't go to the Pensacola Pier unless you like big crowds and traffic jams. Our favorite food was at Beach Buzz and Lillian's Pizza. We loved having a pool for days when the wind was too much at the beach. Our check in was a little stressful. The management office was closed on Sundays and my text messages got blocked for Spam. After a couple phone calls we got things straightened out. It should not be that complicated. The resort property needs a little TLC, but overall it was good. The keyless entry on our unit had issues. It was way more difficult to open than we would have expected. Our screen door needed a new closer. The toilet needed a new flushing flapper and the seat had issues. Cookware was well used and bath towels could have been larger. Rules seemed suggestive considering it was an HOA. The rules list in our unit said absolutely no dogs. That must only apply to renters because there were lots of dogs at the resort. With that being said, none of this ruined our stay. We would consider a return trip.

I thought it was a gated community only to drive up and see “open to the public”
Rules stated “No events” we witnessed the public of about 20 people having a birthday party in the pool and “no pets” drove up and they had several pets... I was aware of the construction going on so I wasn’t caught off guard so I was fine with that! Our room was very clean! It really is a cool place I just wish I was I wasn’t caught off guard in regards to open to the public, no events, no pets.
Also we did after hour check in and the lady that helped us went above and beyond to help us, thankful for her !!!

This was an amazing condo! They had wifi and just about everything we needed for our stay. We were so very pleased with the cleanliness and layout of the condo. WHEN we come back to Perdido Key, we will definitely be staying at the Purple Parrot and will definitely request Serenity Now as our condo. It's also perfectly located conveniently to both pools!

Serenity Now 13AD - A great escape

Our family, including two teens, thoroughly enjoyed our vacation escape to Perdido Key. The area was not over commercialized, but was close enough to areas we could tackle virtually any activity we desired. The condo was in excellent repair with just the right amenities - not as many as home, but better than any hotel. The only downside to this specific unit was the absence of a back view, in that the backside is home for the pool filtration system. The plus was we were that close to the pool. The Purple Parrot overall was conveniently located with easy access to everything in the area. The Tiki Bar entertainment we found to be less than represented (we were told live entertainment would be there each night except for Tuesday). We stopped in Monday night to catch some Kareokee (sp?) and that was fun, but Wednesday did not have live entertainment and Thursday's was less than entertaining. Nevertheless, the set-up was perfect an we enjoyed our time at the pool. The area was well kept and ongoing maintenance was evident. We are already looking at Perdido Key for a larger family trip and definitely will consider the Purple Parrot as our place to stay.

Cottage is nice and well decorated. Enough room for 2. Back door view is of the pool pumps and equipment but it isn't loud or distracting. Could not get internet service to work - didn't have password for router. Iron was horrible. I was there on business so this was important to me.

Fantastic condo - Fabulous vacation!!!

Our family stayed in 13ad and 7BU during the Fourth of July holiday weekend and had a fantastic vacation! The condos were well equipped, clean and had plenty of room for a family of four. The kids really enjoyed the outdoor pool as well. Johnson Beach is just down the road and was very nice. Jd, Paula and the staff at Perdido Key Management were extremely helpful and always friendly even when called after hours. They went above and beyond to make our stay an enjoyable one. Thank you! We would definitely come back and stay at the Purple Parrot.

Best value on the beach.

We loved our stay at Purple Parrot. This was our second time to rent this unit. We also had family renting at the Purple Parrot in neighboring units. The purple Parrot is perfect for families. From the large pool and volleyball courts, to the gated neighborhood feel, where the children/preteens could walk around and we felt comfortable with in them doing so. At night, the children would swim in the pool (we have older children) while the adults enjoyed the fantastic bands (reggae and rusty grits) at the tiki bar. There was also great food! We came during Labor day and were welcomed by Tropical Storm Lee, but that didnt stop the fun, the kids also enjoyed the indoor pool area! Our unit itself was very clean and comfortable, bright and cheery. We love the purple parrot! We will def book again...and again! And for the price, it cannot be beat!

Purple Parrot (Serenity Now) - A Great Getaway

My Fiance and I stayed here while visiting my sister, and it was the perfect place for us. The size of the rental was just right and the location was great for us. We were close to the pool, so we could hear the live music, but it really didn't keep us up (there are definitely rentals further from the pool if this is a concern for you) The pool is a great place to hangout, and I'd actually go back to Purple Parrot just for the pool and sand area. Overall this was a great getaway, and I'd definitely stay there again if I'm ever needing a place in Pensacola.

Needless worry

Since we were renting a place for six weeks site unseen we thought it could be risky. It was a needless worry. Unit 13ad was sparkly clean, great location. It was close to the Tiki bar and music which I enjoyed and it was not too loud in our unit. The indoor pools , hottubs ,fitness center and Tiki bar were very handy. The staff! We cannot say enough good things about JD and his staff. They are a most important asset to the Purple Parrot. We liked the fact the resort guests were of a variety of ages. We have gone somewhere different in the South every March and some of april to get away from the harsh Minnesota weather and usually ended up in a over 55 place. This is so much nicer to be able to watch young families enjoy a vacation. We are also amazaed at how quiet it is in the late evening. The grounds are kept up constantly. All in all a very pleasant experience. I would like to be back when we could have some friends join us. I will be attempting to do market it the Purple Parrot back home.

Worth Every Penny

We absolutely loved our stay at Serenity Now. We are planning on going back in the near future and more with or without our kids. My husband actually is considering a condo purchase. We also are looking forward to seeing all the new additions that are coming to the Purple Parrot Village Resort. The fact that we were within walking distance to the beach and restaurants was great. The only things that needed attention in this particular condo were...the kitchen faucet needed tightened, and they should consider putting something on the tub ledge because the water from the shower ran onto the floor no matter how you put the curtain. These are definitely minor things. We did have one cockroach visit us while there, I freaked, but my husband being in the Military said it was not one that infests houses it was just a bug from outside...that I can handle! All in all we will be going back and loved our stay! Final note...the staff was so nice and helpful!

Spring Break

My daughter and I enjoyed our stay at The Purple Parrot. The bungalows were precious, inside and out. We were only a 2 minute ride to the beach. The property manager, J.D., bent over backwards to accommodate us. We needed internet for a school project and he had it working for us in no time. The pool was gorgeous! I wish I was there right now.

The Perfect Beach Home

This was the perfect beach house for us. The home was very nice and clean. We loved the waterfall and over all design of the pool. The beach, parks, shopping and restaurant's were all located close to the beach home. We had such a wonderful time and can't wait to go back again.
